SMD Zener Diode

What is a Zener diode? Essentially the same as standard PN junction diodes but they are specifically designed to have a low and specified reverse voltage that takes advantage of any reverse voltage applied to it.

Due to its direct current conductive nature, the diode is often used in rectifier circuits from AC to DC, detectors, and bias-reducing circuits for transistors to operate. In the rectifier circuit, the diode can be integrated into a bridge diode.
